Question 1

Is GamePayDay free to join?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Signing up is free and always will be. We pay you; you never pay us.

Question 2

Do I have to buy the games?

Accepted Answer

No. You're either assigned games you already own on Steam, or you receive a free Steam key as part of a campaign.

Question 3

Do I have to sign in with Steam?

Accepted Answer

No. You never log in with Steam or give us your Steam password. Just paste your Steam profile link and add a short code to your Steam display name for a minute to prove it is yours. You can remove it straight after.

Question 4

How do you know I actually played?

Accepted Answer

When you accept an assignment, we record your current Steam playtime. Your review unlocks once Steam shows you have played the required time since then. This needs your Steam game details set to public. Prefer to keep them private? You can still take part by sending extra screenshot proof.

Question 5

Do I have to write positive reviews?

Accepted Answer

Never. We pay for honest, detailed reviews. A well-argued negative review earns exactly the same as a positive one.

Question 6

How much can I earn?

Accepted Answer

Each assignment shows its base reward before you accept it. Rewards depend on the game, the playtime required and the depth of review, and quality bonuses add up to +50% on top.

Question 7

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Approved rewards go straight into your GamePayDay wallet. Withdrawal methods are being finalised and will be announced before launch.

Question 8

Can I post my review on Steam too?

Accepted Answer

No. GamePayDay reviews are published on GamePayDay only. Steam doesn't allow reviews written in exchange for payment, and we want your Steam account to stay safe.

Question 9

Who can join?

Accepted Answer

Anyone 18 or older with a Steam account in good standing that's at least 90 days old. One account per person.

Question 10

What if I can't finish in time?

Accepted Answer

Each assignment has a deadline, usually 7 days. If it runs out, the assignment expires and a new one comes along. Letting a revealed Steam key expire counts as a strike, so only accept what you can play.

Question 11

Why would a review be rejected?

Accepted Answer

Copied or AI-generated text, screenshots that aren't yours or aren't from the game, not meeting the playtime, or ignoring the review guidelines. You'll always get a reason, and often you can fix the review instead.
